Basic Garlic Bread Everyone Should Know How to Make

½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped (see note above)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
1 loaf of Italian bread or baguette

Preheat oven to 375°. Mix butter, garlic, and salt in a small bowl. Cut bread into 1-inch slices, without cutting all the way through; spread both sides of each slice with butter mixture. Wrap entire loaf of bread in foil.
Bake bread on a baking sheet until butter is melted and bread is warm, 5–8 minutes.
As you can see, this is a very basic recipe that’s really easy to follow. Do this once and you’ll never buy pre-packaged garlic bread ever again!!
